Serena S Zhang
Hi everyone, I’m Serena S Zhang, and I will be running for the role of treasurer.
Language and culture (especially minority) are something that I developed a genuine passion for over the last couple of years. And it was such a pleasure for me to gain a better understanding about this area through the events and seminars organised by LIPS last year, which also enabled me to observe and understand the inner workings of the society.
Having previously obtained the role of treasurer for a charity event, I have a clear insight of budgeting and money handling. I have great organisation skills and would record every one of my expenses dutifully. I also work well within a team and will make sure that the committee is regularly updated about the financial status of the society.
If elected for the treasurer of the LIPS:
- I will ensure that the funds of the society and its members are managed efficiently.
- Work closely with the committee.
- Save money in every possible way.
