International Relations Society: Treasurer

Hello, I am Lincoln, a Year 1 PPE student and the current VP of UCLUNA. 

I have a keen interest in and knowledge of international relations, as well as a strong background and experience in politics, having participated in over 30 MUNs, including Harvard WorldMUN and LIMUN, all of which have piqued my interest in international relations and honed my analytical and leadership skills.

As the Vice President of the UCL United Nations Association, I have helped manage the society’s budget and finances, as well as fundraising, seeking and securing external partnerships and sponsorships for our events, for instance the UCLMUN Conference. I have also assisted the President in overseeing the society’s operations and administration, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently, all of which are a testimony to my abilities.

If elected as the Treasurer of the IR Society, I have the following goals:

1. Implementing a realistic and sustainable budget for the society’s events in order to balance the budget or even earn a surplus over the year for future events.

2. Sourcing external funding and sponsors for the society's daily functioning

3. Advising and supporting other committee members on financial matters related to their roles and responsibilities.

I believe that I have the skillset and capabilities to be a reliable Treasurer of the IR Society, and thus would like to seek your vote of confidence.
