Election post
I believe that taking the chance to further one's education abroad is one of the most eye-opening experiences. It can be alienating at times being so far away from Indonesia, which is why it is so crucial to have a home away from home.
I am never one to shy away from challenges out of my comfort zone, hence why I am running to be President. Working together with fellow organisers within our community, I am confident that we will work collaboratively to guarantee smooth day-to-day operations of the society and incite new ideas for events to unite the Indonesian community at UCL. Having attended previous UCL IndoSoc events, not only have I met people I could call friends, but I also admire the amount of time and team effort put into organising it. Having started an online business of my own and previously taking leadership roles in school and work, I believe that my great communication and leadership skills will provide a great advantage to this position.
Given the opportunity, I would be honoured to serve as a President in this society. It will broaden my network and I will always work to ensure that my fellow Indonesians who are brave enough to move so far away from home to broaden their knowledge are well taken care of. I look forward to working with fellow committee members to ensure that the Indonesian community at UCL is well connected and acquainted with other London universities' Indonesian society.
