Hi! I’m Sara, a first-year undergraduate student, studying Education Studies. UNICEF to me is an inspiring and exciting organisation; I deeply understand the importance of charity work even small projects and actions from students. In general, I am passionate about educational issues around the world :) The nature of me having lived across multiple countries, I care about education across nations and through a global lens. I would love to be an In Aid of UNICEF committee member at UCL, and actively contribute to all the positive impacts this society makes.

I am running for Treasurer for a few reasons.

  1. Managing the budget and keeping track of all financial activity will require someone who is very well-organised. In term 3, I am currently juggling my assignments and studying for exams alongside multiple internships (all related to education by the way!).
  2. Keeping an accurate record of all fundraising money and expenditure is a key aspect. I will achieve this by communicating well with my committee members. My collaborative and teamwork skills gained through dance club/society since young makes me confident.
  3. The role of the treasurer is not only about finances, contribution to meetings are also equally important. With my knowledge of education from my degree and work experience, I hope to give valid opinions on decision making.
