Economics and Finance Society: Vice President of Business

Hey everyone, I’m Rami, a Statistics, Economics and Finance student going into my second year. I believe I fulfil the requirements of the role as an organised and passionate leader. If elected, I pledge to:

• Host multiple consulting events regarding practice on case studies with the objective of perfecting attendees' strategy towards case studies to enhance their probability of success with interviews.
• Maximise the number of in person events, allowing members to expand their network with speakers and alumni. 
• Regarding entrepreneurship, I would use my connections at Kickstart to bring start-ups to events. This would allow you to understand the process of a start-up as well as network and hopefully even work with them.

The following experiences showcase my competency to lead a team, my motivation for the role and career in business and my interpersonal skills.

• Co-founded and ran HydroSport and in our endeavours, in the Young enterprise competition, we won the North-West region which took us to the nationals and we even made over £5,000 in sales. 
• Received a place at ‘Kickstart’, where I will review and scout young entrepreneurs, making me more well-read when it comes to a good CV and strong interviews.
• Mentored a group of 4 ‘at risk’ students with the aim of helping improve their behavioural conduct, ultimately contributing to their removal from the ‘at risk’ list.
