Dutch and Flemish Society: Head of Academics

I am nominating myself for Head of Academics, because I have always been passionate about education and the Dutch language. I have worked as a language tutor for over 3 years, and as a result have learned the value of good education and academic foundation. I think it is time to increase awareness for our wonderful language amongst our non-Dutch friends, so they will finally be able to come up with something better than 'Neuken in de keuken!' when confronted with Dutch people. 

Furthermore, I believe my organisational and interpersonal skills will be of good use when organising events dedicated to educating students about the Dutch language. One of my suggestions would be to organise educational events in collaboration with other language societies, to share culture (as well as establish our obvious dominance over them). As Head of Academics of the Dutch and Flemish society, I would increase appreciation for our beautiful language amongst the international UCL crowd.
