I'd love to be president this year to build on our community and develop the women's game further. I believe that my experience from being the UCL CC women's social secretary will be invaluable in providing a welcoming, supportive environment for the club's members. Running my own business and being a part of the RUMS CC the UCL Women in Surgery committees have honed my leadership and organisation skills, I look forward to harnessing these in this role. Additionally, as someone who started as a beginner and is now more experienced, I believe that I can cater to all skill levels of women in the club and facilitate the development of beginner cricketers effectively.

Here are some of my goals:

  • Build on and create new networks with external organisations to create as many opportunities as possible.
  • Organise women's training sessions during fresher's week to recruit new women.
  • Establish joint experienced women's nets at Lords with other university cricket clubs.
  • Work closely with the men's captains to form mixed hardball teams.
  • Host regular socials to develop the women's community and establish traditions such as an alumni dinner and the post-intraclub day awards ceremony.

Cricket has historically been a heavily male-dominated sport, yet, I have been hugely inspired by how cricket clubs at UCL have challenged the barriers that women face. I would be incredibly proud to continue our work and be an advocate for women in cricket.
