Election post
Head of Operations requires one to ensure the smooth running of the CSS, keep everything in check, efficiently communicate with the whole committee, and find potential clients. As a a first year Computer Science student, I believe my enthusiasm and leadership skills makes me a suitable candidate for this role.
Throughout my GCSE and A levels I have always worked towards strengthening my leadership and communication skills, whether it involved hosting an inter-school event or being a part of the student council. From this experiences, I understand how the dynamics within a committee work and will strive to develop a strong CS community - taking into account the interests of the committee, members and the Computer Science body in general.
As a Head of Operations my goals include (but are not limited to):
- Actively seeking opportunities to collaborate with clients, such as industry partners or sponsors. By securing partnerships, we can bring valuable resources and networking opportunities to our members.
- Serving as a liaison between the different parts of the committee to facilitate seamless collaboration and communication. This will involve regular meetings, progress updates, and ensuring that everyone is on the same page.
- Ensuring smooth internal organisation by keeping documentation up-to-date, efficiently managing tasks, and making sure deadlines are met.
I hope to build towards a well-connected Computer Science Society and hope you may consider me for this role.
