Naima El Hawary

Dear members of Climate Action Society, my name is Nama and I'm a third-year BA European Social and Political Studies student. I'm currently on a year abroad in Sweden and will come back to the UK for my final year in September!

I'm very passionate about climate action and have been doing climate-related volunteering for a while now, for example as a member of the UNFCCC Youth Constituency, so I would love to be a committee member of the Climate Action Society. Having been a member of the Student Sustainability Network in Gothenburg on my year abroad and a Committee Member of the Society of International Affairs, I would love to continue being part of a society committee.

As Welfare Officer of the Climate Action Society, my priorities would be to ensure the wellbeing of our members, listen actively and help find solutions. In addition to supporting our members with their wellbeing and health, I am also planning to organise exciting events.

I look forward to meeting you in September and am looking forward to working with all of you to make a difference!
