Hi, I'm Ken :) I'm a 1st Year Human Sciences student standing to ensure that BML Soc operates smoothly financially. I hope to manage the administrative processes of the society that allow for its insightful discussions, events and engagement.

As Treasurer, I will:

  • Effectively organise funds for events that allow us to expand the community
  • Work to ensure that the money of the society is responsibly spent, creating a realistic and sustainable budget
  • Organise and coordinate efforts to fundraise and build connections

The role demands an ability to be financially aware and budget. After working out living costs in London, I feel like I am pretty used to working with a calculator. However, genuinely I am organised and have experience using Excel because I can appreciate a good spreadsheet.

Managing the finances of the Society will allow it to prosper by holding more events, debates and discussions. I hope that, as a result, BML Soc can be an increasingly active community in the coming year.

I am currently a second year LLB Laws student with a deep interest in commercial law and technology, and Intellectual Property is a great balance of the two. I would love to be the IP Society's treasurer this coming year and contribute practically to the smooth running of the society and apply our budget and finances appropriately to future events. My strong sense of responsibility and passion for this practice area will ensure that I will dedicate time and effort needed to make this up and coming society one the best ones yet. I am so excited to introducing IP to students from all UCL courses and help make this community welcoming and inclusive!
