Hi! I'm Amy and I am running for president.
From being a first-year rep this year, I had the privilege of being part of an amazing committee. We had our first ever boat party, many pub nights, and we will soon have our end-of-year ball. I would definitely love to continue the socials next year and take the events a step further.
From being part of the committee, I mainly took a lead with the BASc module reviews, helped organize socials, and thoroughly enjoyed being involved with the development of the society and I have developed the skills to be able to take on the role of president.
Here are a few ideas I have in mind:
- Start BASc alumni talks! From internships to year-abroad, I'm sure you have questions as to what our alumni did during their degrees and what career fields they went into. We would like to organize events where we get to hear what BASc alumni have done after graduating.
- Organize career workshops! From CV workshops to advice when finding internships, I would love to work with Jo in organizing career workshops.
