I am standing for the Treasurer role because it closely aligns with my Business degree, allowing me to apply what I am learning in my studies to a real and practical setting. Managing budgets or preparing financial records are all areas that connect directly to my modules, and I believe this role would be a valuable opportunity to develop my skills beyond the lecture room. I have always been drawin to financial side of business, and taking on this responsibility within the society feels like a natural step in building my experience.

I also bring relevant hands-on experience from my time as a prefect of the Student Leadership Team in Year 13, where I regularly worked with numbers and took an active role in budgeting for events such as prom and fundraisers. This taught me the importance of careful financial planning, keeping accurate recrods, and ensuring that money is managed responsibly withina team setting. It also gave me experience of working under pressure to meet deadlines amd deliver successful outcomes, especially as a team. 

In addition, I am proficient im spreadsheets and have a high attention to detail, both of which I consider essential for this role. Whether it is tracking income and expenditure, processing reimbursements, or supporting grant applications, I am confident in my ability to handle financial work accurately and efficiently. I am also committed to ensuring its finance are managed with transparency, organisation, and care.
