Hi! I’m Silvia and I’m running to be Skate Club’s Welfare Officer. I am committed to ensuring the welfare of all the club’s members.
Joining Skate Club in my first year has been really fun, and having the support of this year’s welfare officer has been very reassuring. This is why I would like to apply to be the new welfare officer, so I can fulfill this role for the next year of Skate Club and ensure the club remains a judgement-free zone for skaters of all abilities.
I am always available to support any members of the club or just be a kind, listening ear, as well as organising welfare events to ensure everyone is able to enjoy Skate Club and their time at UCL.
To ensure our society remains inclusive for all, I will help us to work with the current student union campaigns. I will also help to arrange volunteering opportunities for club members, either separately or by participating in the various opportunities organised by the SU!
