Election post
During my first year at UCL I have thoroughly enjoyed singing with UCL Choir, Chamber Choir and UC8, performing solo repertoire, and singing at the choral events. I would love to take on the role of UCL choral manager, and to give back to these groups that have meant so much to me. I would love to develop choral singing and events at UCL to the highest standards.
I have held choral scholarships since the age of seven years, through Chapel Royal, King’s College and within London churches. I have been a choral director, bringing together disadvantaged Merton pupils to form a massed choir for a community performance. Equally I have used choral singing to fundraise for NHS and hospice charities, coordinating rehearsals, venues, publicity, programmes and performer communications to deliver powerful events for full audiences. These experiences strengthened my ability to organise high-profile musical events, managing logistics under pressure, balancing musical ambition, challenging repertoire and artistic vision with practical measures to ensure performances are both polished and enjoyable.
I would bring reliability, musical insight and genuine commitment to choral music at UCL in this role, helping to foster an inclusive, focused and musically rewarding environment for all members.
