The Introverts Society really helped me come out of my shell and interact with others at UCL this year, and I would like to contribute! As an avid social media user, I believe this is the perfect role for me, and I am excited to provide engaging content to encourage others to join the society, and attend the events! Furthermore, the collaboration events were my favourites this year, and I would like to contribute to organising them. As an introvert, it can be very difficult to try new things, because of the fear that I will be judged simply if I am not as sociable as others. The Introverts Society really helped with that! I would like to help my community discover their new favourite hobby in a space that feels welcoming to them (I found out I really love mahjong). Finally, I want to use social media to listen to my fellow introverts, and hear about what they feel they really enjoy/would like to try out, so that the Introverts Society becomes their favourite society like me!
Hi, I’m Audrey, and I'm standing for publicity officer for Introverts Society! As an introvert myself, I've always found it intimidating to branch out and meet new people (even more so this year since I just entered university). Therefore, I really appreciate the opportunities that this society has given me to break out of my shell, meet new people, and try new experiences. I'd love the opportunity to be able to give back to the community as a result.
As publicity officer, I promise to efficiently manage the social media accounts, and create engaging, easily accessible, and informative content to keep everyone up to date. My photography GCSE and brief stint as a fan editor during Covid have given me ample experience in both photoshop and running social media pages - both of which will help me achieve good results. It would be an honour to be your publicity officer next year!
I hope to be part of the committee next year because I have enjoyed this year as President of Introverts Society. I hope to be the publicity officer because I have gained a lot of experience in engaging with publicity work, such as creating social media posters and organising collaboration events with other societies, and it was a lot of fun. As publicity officer, I aim to:
- Make the Instagram page more engaging to attract new members, e.g. by filming reel content
- Listen to your opinions and invite societies for collaboration events
- Organise larger events, e.g Sudoku competition, that are open to all UCL students
Thank you!
