I’ve loved Bollywood ever since I was young — from family parties to random moments at home, I somehow became the person who knew the hook step to almost every iconic Bollywood song. I’m not sure if that counts as a secret talent, but I believe it is... Bollywood dance has always been more than entertainment to me; it’s something that brings people together and allows people to express themselves confidently.

My interest in choreography started when I began helping my sister with dances for her university events. What started as simply helping out quickly became something I genuinely loved. I realised how rewarding it was to teach people, create routines, and watch others grow more confident while learning choreography.

When I got involved in Naach, I loved not just the showcase itself, but the entire process behind it — the rehearsals, the bonding, and seeing everyone improve together. For me, dance has never been about perfection; it’s about enjoying the experience, creating something you’re proud of, and making memories along the way.

Being Dance Director for UCL Indian Society would genuinely be a dream role because it combines everything I enjoy most: dance, creativity, leadership, and community. I’d love to create weekly sessions that feel welcoming, energetic, and fun for everyone, regardless of experience. More than anything, I want people to leave sessions feeling happier, more confident, and excited to come back each week.
