Healthcare Business Society: Treasurer

I am an Applied Medical Sciences student at UCL with a strong interest in healthcare, finance, and how strategic decisions shape healthcare systems and innovation. Through my degree, I have developed analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills that I believe are essential for the role of Treasurer.
I am particularly interested in the intersection between healthcare and business, especially how financial management influences sustainability, innovation, and accessibility within healthcare organisations. I want to contribute to a society that encourages students to explore these ideas while creating valuable opportunities for members.
Alongside my academic background, I have practical experience managing finances in a fast paced environment.
As a supervisor at my part-time restaurant job, I manage income spreadsheets, tracking figures of income. This role has strengthened my organisation, accuracy, responsibility, and ability to work efficiently under pressure. I have also developed leadership and teamwork skills through choreographing university dance competitions and working within student committees.
As Treasurer, I would focus on managing the society’s finances responsibly and transparently to support high quality events and opportunities for members. I would bring reliability, organisation, and enthusiasm to help the Healthcare Business Society continue growing as an ambitious and welcoming community.
