My name is Nishka and I'm a first year (going into second) BSc Global Humanitarian Studies Undergrad!! These last nine months have really taught me the importance of community and the social sphere within university, and I've had a really enjoyable experience across this year getting to know and build friendships within my cohort. So, having the opportunity to promote and further such a positive and engaging atmosphere within the society would be something I'm really interested in. I think socials, whether they are pub nights or more casual daytime, sober activities, are such an integral part to university life and an amazing way to bring the course(s) closer together, no matter differing interests. Therefore, I would love to experience being part of the team behind the scenes that allows such an important part of uni life to play out!
Bringing everyone together in such a fun way would be an unforgettable experience with long-lasting memories, and so, I'd really push for a low-effort, relaxed environment where everybody feels incorporated and welcomed, and where everyone can feel completely comfortable being themselves. I'm up for any activity and would love the chance to get to know the rest of the DRRH community and work with them to make such events happen in the future - with higher variety, creativity and fun. :)
