Hi I'm Kayla, a 1st year student (going into 2nd year) on the BSc course! I've really loved getting to know people across the cohort this year and becoming part of such a friendly community. I'd love to be one of your social secs next year to help create an atmosphere where everyone feels included and excited to come along to events. I think course socials are one of the best ways for people across different years and friendship groups to get to know each other better.
I'd love to organise a wider range of socials next year so there's something for everyone, whether that's pub nights, casual outings or fun sober socials too. I'd want events to feel welcoming and low-pressure so everyone feels comfortable joining in and meeting new people.
Overall, I'd love the opportunity to help make next year's society socials fun, varied and memorable for everyone and I'd enjoy working with the rest of the committee and wider society for new ideas! :)
