Kiera Potineni

Hi, my name is Kiera, and I'm a second-year Politics and International Relations student.

I'm standing for the Treasurer role because I believe its finances are the backbone of Bentham Brooks’ ability to channel its ambitions into meaningful research, debates, and events.

I have worked as a Consultant for both a dermatology clinic and an AI startup to create financial models as well as business growth plans, which has not just given me the financial literacy for the role of a treasurer, but also an understanding of how to strategically use a budget to support this society’s aspirations, not constrain them.

Beyond consulting, I've worked at an international regenerative development think tank and a public interest legal firm in New Delhi, which has helped me better understand the needs and functions of research organisations, such as Bentham Brooks, and what they need to grow.

As Treasurer, I want to make sure that our budget is transparent and supports the debates, research, and collaboration that allow Bentham Brooks to thrive!
