Dear members of the American Society,

My name is Angelica, and I am a Philosophy, Politics, and Economics student from Boston, Massachusetts. I’m excited to be running for Welfare Officer!

Over the past year, I’ve worked alongside our president, Roy Shu, to help revive the UCL American Society. Through that experience, I’ve seen how valuable the society can be as a space for students to connect, discuss current affairs from different perspectives, and engage with American culture and politics in an open and welcoming environment.

As Welfare Officer, I would aim to help organise engaging events and discussions that encourage participation from across the society, while also helping ensure the society continues to grow in an inclusive and well-organised way. I care deeply about creating a community where members feel involved, heard, and excited to take part in society activities.

I would love the opportunity to continue contributing to the society and working with both the committee and members to help shape its future. Whether through political discussions, social events, or collaborative activities, I hope to help make the American Society an active and enjoyable space for everyone involved.

Thank you so much for your consideration — I’d really appreciate your vote!

~ Angelica :)
