Hey yall! My name is Olivia and I am a born and raised Texan. I am an incoming second year studying Politics and International Relations at UCL. Having experience as the social secretary and as under-secretary-general for media for the United Nations Association and UCL MUN Annual conference, I have experience as a reliable and highly creative committee member willing to put in the work and come together with other committee members and society members to help make fun events such as a Thanksgiving Celebration across the pond, pizza parties, or even just fun get togethers possible by managing society funds responsibly and effectively.
As treasurer, I will make sure our events are organized efficiently and with adequate funding. I will be sure to manage funds responsibly and ensure that there is enough money in the budget for larger celebrations such as Thanksgiving, end of term socials, and even a potential Costco Membership for good food 😊.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!
Dear members of the American Society,
My name is Angelica, and I am a Philosophy, Politics, and Economics student from Boston, Massachusetts. I’m excited to be running for Treasurer!
Over the past year, I’ve worked alongside our president, Roy Shu, to help revive the UCL American Society. Through that experience, I’ve seen how much potential the society has to grow into an engaging and welcoming space for students interested in American culture, politics, and community.
As Treasurer, I would work to help ensure the society is financially organised, sustainable, and able to support a wide range of enjoyable and accessible events for members. I understand how important careful budgeting and planning are in helping a society run smoothly, especially as we continue rebuilding and expanding what the American Society can offer.
I would love the opportunity to continue contributing to the society’s growth by supporting events, helping manage resources responsibly, and working closely with the committee to create opportunities that members genuinely enjoy and benefit from.
Thank you so much for your consideration — I’d really appreciate your vote!
~ Angelica :)
