World History Society: President

Hey! My name is Danilo and I am applying to be your President! I love history so much and I believe that studying world history is important in order to raise awareness of the world above the UK and to foster critical thinking, and also because it is so interesting! Next year, I hope to host and organise fun events (such as Museum visits, SpeedFriendings, Presentations, Quiz nights, film screenings and more!) and to expand the presence of the World History Society by collaborating with more universities and UCL groups and organising more talks from both UCL staff and external guest speakers. I have a lot of experience in leading societies and being president and this will ensure that I can manage the WHS effectively and make it the best it can be! I also have a lot of connections which will be useful in expanding the society's outreach. My biggest aim is to ensure that the society makes members happy and enjoy their time at UCL, and my focus will be on creating opportunities for members to make friends. I am a very hardworking and reliable committee member and I believe that I will help the society flourish and expand.
