Tea Society: Treasurer

I am standing for the role of Treasurer because I care deeply about the Tea Society’s mission to promote cultural exchange, mindfulness, and community connection. Over the past year, I have seen how tea gatherings create space for meaningful conversations and intercultural understanding. I believe careful financial management is key to sustaining and expanding this impact.

With prior experience organising events such as the International Festival, Chinese New Year Tea Ceremony, and collaborative gatherings with UAL and Kew Gardens, I’ve gained practical skills in budgeting, managing expenses, and coordinating with sponsors. I’m confident in using spreadsheets and tracking systems to keep records clear, transparent, and accessible for committee members. I’ve also supported funding applications, giving me insight into how we can secure more financial resources for future activities.

As Treasurer, I will work closely with the rest of the committee to ensure our events are not only creative and inclusive but also financially sustainable. I am committed to being responsible, responsive, and collaborative—always making decisions in the best interest of our members. With your support, I hope to help the Tea Society continue to flourish and make a lasting impact on campus life.
