Science Magazine Society: Welfare Officer

Hi, I’m Summer :)

With my personal experience in medical journalling, I believe having a safe space for creative expression through writing is something that everyone should be entitled to, and is a core part of personal development. Having engaged with both editors and writers, I understand the constant doubt and tight schedule needed from both sides to produce a well written outcome. Therefore, through this role I aim to break down prejudices, and encourage individuals to bring their own strengths into the society to influence not only other members, but readers as well.

Encouragement and support throughout the publishing process is something I believe is a core part of producing good articles, which is why I would like to be nominated Welfare Officer to help support members in Science Magazine Society.
