Hello SciMag community! I’m Louis, a second-year Science and Technology Studies student fascinated by the intersection of technology, policy, and society. Having led the STS departmental Society and the AI Society projects team (Nexus Labs), and published articles ranging from algorithmic trade policy to AI ethics, I’m experienced in crafting clear, compelling narratives from complex ideas.

As Technology Editor, I will:
• Ensure precision and clarity: Implement rigorous editing standards to make sure our tech coverage is accurate, insightful, and accessible.
• Encourage interdisciplinary stories: Leverage my STS background to commission articles exploring how technology shapes, and is shaped by, society, economics, and policy.
• Expand our contributor network: Actively recruit voices across UCL’s engineering, computer science, and social sciences communities, supporting new authors through structured workshops.
• Boost reader engagement: Introduce interactive explainers, compelling visuals, and collaborative content with societies such as Data sci and AI, keeping our readers informed and intrigued.

I’m passionate about making SciMag’s technology section a go-to source for innovation and impact. I’d be honoured to have your support!
