Joining rugby this year has been a wonderful adventure—from stepping into such an encouraging environment to the satisfaction of seeing my rugby skills progress. This year was my first time properly getting into rugby, so I genuinely understand what it feels like to be new to the sport and how important a welcoming, encouraging community is to help people settle in and develop their skills. I can’t wait to foster inclusivity and growth within the UCL Women’s Rugby community and to showcase to the wider student body the incredible community that has been created.

Throughout sixth form, I actively participated in multiple societies, where I engaged new members and encouraged participation through persuasion, event management, and communication skills. Past leadership experiences of mine also include organizing large-scale events for over 650 attendees as a social prefect and representing my peers as a student council representative, where I advocated for students' needs and wellbeing. These experiences have  reinforced the importance of clear communication, collaboration, and responsiveness. Furthermore, my past roles have made me confident in handling responsibility while always representing the values of the team I stand for.

Beyond this, I bring energy, enthusiasm, and a real commitment to the spaces I care about. I’m keen to carry this same spirit into the Outreach Officer role to help support the club in every way I can. Thank you and please vote for me!

This new role will focus on building inclusive partnerships, increasing engagement with local charities, organisations, and other societies. Promoting rugby as an empowering sport for women. I aim to work with the rest of the committee to coordinate events, volunteer programs,  to ensure our club remains a welcoming and supportive space for players of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Charity work is an area which I believe we can contribute to so much more; supporting local charities and initiatives which will only serve to support the local community we all witness on a daily basis.

As well as this, I also have started to find external sponsors and grants to assist us getting pitches closer to campus and better equipment for us all to enjoy.

fankz once again,
