Red Cross Society: Welfare Officer

I am standing for the position of Welfare Officer within the Red Cross Society because I am deeply committed to supporting the wellbeing of every member of our community. The Red Cross represents compassion, dignity and proactive care, values which I strive to uphold in all aspects of my personal and academic life. I believe that welfare is not simply about addressing challenges as they arise, but about creating an inclusive, respectful and responsive environment in which individuals feel valued and heard. My approach combines practical support with empathy and a strong sense of responsibility. I intend to advocate for accessible resources, promote awareness of available services and ensure that all members feel safe and supported in their involvement with the society. With experience in both peer support and volunteering in welfare related roles, I am confident in my ability to listen actively, act effectively and work collaboratively with others.
