Hey, I’m Bhoomi!! I’ve been closely involved with Rare for a year now, both as a show host and as the Head of Events for the current Committee. Being a member of Rare has been one of the highlights of my year, and I would love to continue contributing to it as an Editor for UnCL! As the Head of Events, I’ve been responsible for scouting and communicating with venues, and exploring new event ideas and collaborations — such as the MODO Fashion Afterparty. I’ve really been able to immerse myself into Rare’s community, and I’m eager to expand this into the more editorial side of things.
As an Editor, I’d love to:
- Introduce a new segment featuring collaborations with Rare FM show hosts, whether that be interviews or profiles of shows. I think this would be a great way to build greater engagement and visibility for both the magazine and the radio.
- Organise more in-person events centred around the magazine, such as writing workshops or brainstorming sessions. This would really help to diversify and expand our contributors even further, and build a stronger community around UnCL.
As an English student, and through having written for two magazines in the past, I’m confident of the direction and technical skill that I can bring. I'm organised, I have great editorial judgement, and I am really committed to widening UnCL's outreach and readership.

With a passion for both writing and music, I would love to bring my experience, creativity, and dedication to the role of Editor at UNCL. Having previously served as a section editor for another publication, l understand the editorial process, from ideation to final layout, and I thrive in environments that demand both leadership and collaboration. This year, I had the privilege of contributing a piece to UNCL, which deepened my appreciation for the time and effort that each contributor puts into the magazine. I am committed to honouring that dedication by fostering an inclusive, driven, and supportive editorial team that upholds the magazine's standard of excellence while pushing it to new creative heights. I'm ready to coordinate and elevate, ensuring that every voice is heard and every piece resonates.
