Nature and Conservation Society: Welfare Officer

I'm standing for Welfare Officer because I want to help make the Nature and Conservation Society not only a space where we care about the environment, but also one where we genuinely support each other. Having worked with the committee, I’ve seen how meaningful this role is in shaping the tone of our events and the experience of our members. Whether it’s being a friendly face on a cold morning or checking in with someone who seems a bit out of place, I’ve learned that small acts of care can have a big impact.

I believe I bring a combination of enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and fresh ideas to the position. My experience so far has shown me how fulfilling it is to help build a strong, inclusive community, and I’m confident I can balance the responsibilities of the role alongside my studies. I’m excited about the chance to keep contributing and to help make sure that our society continues to thrive in a way that welcomes and supports everyone involved.
