Hey everyone! I’m Marc, a first-year NatSci student, and I’m running for Events Officer because I want to make our society bigger, better, and more exciting than ever before!
Our events are at the heart of what makes this society amazing, and I’m committed to bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table while keeping the classics we all love - whether it’s legendary pub crawls, thrilling quiz nights, or unforgettable (or in my case you did forget it) boat parties. I want to ensure our events are inclusive, fun of course, well organized and catered to everyone, whether you’re here for a wild night out or a relaxed social with friends.
As Events Officer I would bring more variety whether it be through themed nights or collaborations with other societies. I’d make socials more accessible, balancing both lively night outs with drinks and chill socials without alcohol as we should always be able to have a good time regardless of preferences. Communication is a given for any team to function which is why I think as having done Gold DofE (I know it’s cliché) I can effectively organize with the rest of the committee. Finally, I’d obviously listen to YOU, taking in feedback and suggestions to implement your vision too for our future events so I hope this has convinced you to vote Marc :)
