Angharad Bridges

Hi,

I'd like to be Community Outreach Officer because I've performed in the community in groups and on my own previously and it is a rewarding experience. I consider myself able to handle the responsibility and I have a few ideas for improving community outreach in RUMS Music. For example, I think that communication could be improved so that members have some input on dates and locations as this could improve turnout. I would say that performing in the community is a valuable experience for all musicians, and I can make changes to improve this aspect of the society.

Thanks :)

Shreya Srinivas

I have really enjoyed being a part of Accarhythmia this year and I would love to help organise performances opportunities for RUMS music like bringing back the hospital Christmas carolling and orchestra performance. Some new ideas I would like to try out would be RUMS music busking in central London which could be fun, alongside collaborations with other societies like spectrum! I really appreciate you guys considering me and it'd be great to make some of my ideas a reality next year :)

Hiii, I’m Fliss, and I’m running to be your Community Outreach Officer.

I’ve really enjoyed being a part of RUMS music in Heartstrings over the last year. Music is such an integral part of me, and it’s been amazing to continue it during my first year at medical school with such a supportive group of musicians. I would love the opportunity to do my bit for RUMS music.

As your Community Outreach Officer, I would:

  • Organise opportunities to perform in the local community  (such as the Christmas busking at the UCH)
  • Organise charities to fundraise for at our concert
  • Explore ideas to integrate our groups even more

For me, music has such a positive effect on my well-being, and I’m a firm believer that music can help emotional and physical health. If I were elected to be your Community Outreach Officer, I would explore supporting local charities that hold the same ethos.
