Medical Society: Treasurer

I’m Shiv, and I’d love to be your next Treasurer!
Why me?

• Finance familiarity💸– My role on the RUMS Finance subcommittee involved budgeting events; I’ve also overseen the finances of several music concerts and charity gigs
• Event experience🥳– I helped run this year’s Networking Reception and co-led the FYR social. I also helped organise INNC 2025 and various RUMS Freshers’ events, giving me a valuable insight into the finances of large-scale events
• Committee connections❤️–  I’m familiar with the inner workings of MedSoc, and I’m confident I can work well with next year’s team to fund initiatives and manage sponsorships

My ideas:

• Membership-mania🎟️– How about creating a MedSoc wristband, giving access to key events? Or running a freshers’ lecture to promote memberships? Having served as Social Media Officer, I’m certain we can use Instagram and TikTok to boost member numbers
• A new-and-improved Networking Reception🍸–  We could collaborate with other London unis, make merch, and create a more interactive Battle of the Specialities with more diverse fields
• Let’s chat(GPT) about AI🤖– We could recruit Med-Ed innovators as sponsors, and potentially collaborate with UCL MedTech society
• MedSoc for all🤝– An accessibility scheme would keep our paid initiatives open for everyone
