Zain Raza

Hi everyone, great to meet you all! I'm Zain and I'm running to be your Radiology Chair. I'm highly motivated and eager to help and uplift those around me! Next year, I would love to build upon the amazing work done by the current committee and leadership and deliver the following:

  1. Continue and expose more people to the lecture series covering various subspecialties within radiology; whilst also organising a high-yield lecture/SBA series, and even a portfolio series to help any medical student sitting the UKMLA - as well as those interested in applying for specialty training, and beyond.
  2. Make further formal affiliations/collaborations with international radiology societies to expand networking, mentoring and research/portfolio opportunities for UCL medical students, by involving experts in the field.
  3. Organise another national undergraduate conference for those interested in radiology.

Looking forward to see you next year!

Aaqil Ali

Having served on the Radiology subcommittee last year, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible work and foundation built by our previous chairs. I’m now eager to build on that legacy—continuing the high standards set while introducing new opportunities for students across medicine and related fields.

My aims: Innovation, Collaboration, and Exposure

I aim to make the Radiology society a dynamic platform for education, research, and professional growth. My key goals include:

  • Mentorship Programme: Connecting clinical medical students with peers to deliver focused teaching on radiology within the medical curriculum.
  • Research Opportunities: Creating pathways for students to collaborate with clinical radiologists on research projects, enhancing academic and career portfolios.
  • Radiology Lecture Series: Hosting talks across subspecialties to provide insight into radiology’s breadth and foster valuable networking.
  • National Undergraduate Radiology Conference: The annual conference where we partner with Radiology Societies of other universities.
  • Interdisciplinary Networking: Encouraging collaboration with allied fields such as medical physics and engineering to broaden student perspectives.

By continuing the excellent work of the previous chairs and collaborating with other societies, I hope to deliver new initiatives while maintaining the subcommittee’s reputation for high-quality, engaging content.
