Arnav Rustogi

Hi! I'm Arnav, a 3rd-year medic, and I’d love to be your CardioSoc Chair! I’m drawn to the complexity of the cardiovascular system and improving patient care in this field - a passion I want to share with more of you in this role.

I’ve achieved distinction in years 1 and 2 and am undertaking a Cardiovascular Sciences iBSc, showing my academic commitment. As Events & Education Officer for CardioSoc, I helped launch and run our first-ever shadowing scheme with significant success, managed conference logistics, organised talks, and taught tutorials. These experiences have honed my leadership, event coordination, and communication skills. Additionally, my roles as RUMS Equity Officer and Anatomy Soc Educational Lead have provided valuable experience in team collaboration and supporting students, which will help me make a strong impact as chair.

My goals are to:

  • Improve the shadowing scheme, expanding it to run across more terms and take on more students.
  • Organise the first UCL Cardiology & Cardiothoracics Conference with insightful workshops, including ECG case interpretation and congenital heart disease labs
  • Collate accessible research opportunities in cardiology
  • Enhance our Instagram with clinical cases, interactive polls, and exam tips
  • Organise fundraising events in association with the British Heart Foundation and collaborate with other societies and universities to expand our network

I would truly appreciate your vote. Together, we can build a more engaged and inclusive CardioSoc!
