Marketing and Advertising Society: Treasurer

Like any new society, the first year of the MarkAd Society has not been without challenges. As part of the founding committee, it has been an honour to watch every baby step of our society. Having initiated plans for the society’s future direction, particularly in financial matters, I am eager to maintain this momentum and see these plans through as Treasurer in the coming year.  

I will: 

• Proactively engage with potential corporate sponsors and design proposals to increase sponsorship income.
• Work with the Head of Promotions to boost our membership income.
• Work with the Head of Events to manage budgets for events, with the hopes of hosting a larger-scale flagship speaker's event in MarkAd's second year.

While we have secured SU funding for the society this year, I would love to explore corporate sponsorships and other non-monetary support in the coming year while also working with the team to boost our membership income. With the solid foundation built this year, I am optimistic that we can make more meaningful progress in the coming year.
