Korean Culture Society: Events Officer

Dear KCS Committee,

I am excited to apply for the Events Officer position! As a longtime enthusiast of Korean culture—from traditional hanbok aesthetics to modern K-innovations—I would love to channel my passion into creating memorable events for our society.

Why me?
Cultural Knowledge & Experience: With 10+  of immersing myself in Korean language, cuisine, and trends, I bring authentic insights to event planning—whether it’s a tteokbokki cooking class or a Hallyu-themed debate night.
Event-Planning Skills: As an event organiser for a cultural society at my previous university, I planned and executed multiple successful events including cultural festivals, food tastings, and workshops - developing strong skills in logistics, budgeting, and team coordination.
London Know-How: I’ve explored Seoul-style hotspots across the city ( K-pop dance studios, hidden suljip bars) and cheap but tasty restaurants like Seoul Bakery and can curate unique outings.

Event Ideas for KCS:

• “K-Food Crawl”: Touring London’s best Korean eateries, from samgyeopsal spots to bingsu cafés.
• Interactive Workshops: Hangul calligraphy, K-drama script readings, or skincare sessions.
• Collaborations: Joint events with K-pop Dance Soc or Anime Soc for broader reach.
