Election post
Hi, I am Sara, and I am running for President of the UCL Intellectual Property Society.
As Events Officer for the UCL IP Society, I really enjoyed working behind the scenes to plan our society’s events, managing logistics such as catering, scheduling and venue selection. Being involved has given me an insight into what it takes to run the UCL IP society, whilst also allowing me to develop my organisational skills, leadership and teamwork.
I want to ensure that our society continues to grow as an inclusive, dynamic and intellectually engaging community for all of our members, not just those from law backgrounds. I look forward to representing the UCL IP society, leading the committee and ensuring its smooth operation for the following academic year.
As President, I plan to host more panel discussions with leading IP lawyers, providing insight into the field of IP, including for those with a STEM background like myself. I would also like to collaborate with other UCL societies to organise more exciting social events and career-focused workshops.
I hope to continue making a meaningful contribution to UCL IP, building a society that is accessible and valuable to all its members.
