Radu Polschi

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again! :D

Hi, I’m Radu, a 4th-year medical student passionate about HeMP. Throughout my course, I have come to realise that healthcare management and policy have a greater impact on population health than the quality of doctors alone. This belief was all but solidified by my intercalation in Management at Imperial which fuelled my desire to drive change in healthcare through engagement, debate, and tangible action

Why vote for me?

✅ Continue promoting student engagement in policy and leadership through insightful speakers and visits to the parliament

✅Develop a career advice programme consisting of detailed mentoring talks and workshops aimed primarily at the medical students looking to grow their careers beyond clinical practice

Why I’m Qualified:

🔹Experienced Leader – 10+ committee roles across medical school

🔹 Conference Executive (iNUGSC 2023) – Managed logistics, stakeholders & budget for the UK’s largest student-led surgical conference

🔹 My intercalation and portfolio career journey have connected me with leaders in medicine, policy, and business – a network which I will leverage to elevate HeMP

Let’s push boundaries together – vote Radu for Management Lead!

Aritra Mandal

Hi everyone. I’m applying for the Management Lead at HeMP Society because I believe healthcare management is a crucial part of building a sustainable, forward-thinking NHS. With so many students focused on clinical roles, I want to help more people appreciate how essential leadership, planning, and organisational strategy are to driving real healthcare change.

This year, I’ve actively sought out opportunities to explore this space through conferences, hackathons, innovation challenges, and conversations with people working at the policy and organisational level. I’ll be starting a BSc in Medical Management at Imperial next year, and while I’m excited to deepen my knowledge, I’m just as passionate about creating space for others to explore what healthcare management really means.

As Management Lead, I’d love to open up more opportunities for students to engage with healthcare leadership in a practical, exciting way - whether through workshops, speaker events, or insights into lesser-known career paths. I want HeMP to be a place where students realise that there are many ways to make a meaningful impact in healthcare, not just through the traditional clinical routes.

Thank you for considering me :)
