I am excited to apply for Welfare Representative of the Friends of Médecins Sans Frontières (FoMSF) Society! My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where all members feel valued and heard. Through engagement and proactive initiatives, I hope to enhance both individual and collective welfare within the society.
Key Objectives
- Mental Health and Wellbeing Support
- Establish safe spaces for members to discuss concerns.
- Organise wellbeing workshops and mindfulness activities.
- Provide signposting to support services where necessary.
- Inclusivity and Accessibility
- Ensure all society events and activities are as accessible and inclusive as possible.
- Create an environment where all members feel comfortable expressing their views and ideas.
- Collaboration with Other Societies
- Strengthen ties with other societies to share resources and practices.
- Organise joint events and initiatives to promote awareness and inclusivity.
- Proactive Welfare Initiatives
- Encourage collaboration with other societies to increase outreach and positive mental wellbeing activities whilst also raising donations and increasing the size of events.
- Aligning with societies that promote the welfare of members.
- Strengthen a culture of kindness, respect, and support within the society.
