Candidates

Rhin Choe

Hi everyone! My name is Rhin and I am a first year Computer Science student. I would like to thank everyone who voted me in for Computer Science society vice president, and so I believe I will also be a good candidate for president.

As potential president, I will work to make sure that this society will be a great place to meet new people and learn from others, for both CS and non-CS students. Think socials, hackathons, industry talks and the like all year. Additionally, with my experience working with the CS department as a course rep this year, I am confident that I can engage well with different stakeholders for the benefit of everyone.

Just as I have said in my VP pledge, as a proactive communicator, I can ensure collaboration within the committee remains strong, even at the busiest of times. I also believe myself to be observant and will offer feedback for the benefit of all whenever I can.

Needless to say, with Rhin everyone will win.

Thank you for reading this in full and I would really appreciate your vote!

Maksymilian Sieklinski

I believe in the power of community — and in what we, as students, can create when we’re supported, inspired, and connected.

Going into my second year of Computer Science, I’ve had the chance to experience UCL not just as a student, but as a leader. I founded and run the Competitive Programming Society, where I’ve led high-performing teams and built a strong, collaborative culture.

Beyond UCL, I’ve completed spring weeks at Citadel and IMC, and I’m preparing for a summer internship with Huawei. These experiences have helped me connect our studies to the wider tech industry — and I’d love to use those connections to benefit the society, potentially even securing sponsorship for new events and initiatives.

If elected, I’ll work to make the CS Society as ambitious as our students: more support for competitions and projects, stronger industry links, and more ways for every CS student to find their people, their passion, and their path.

UCL CS has no shortage of talent — let’s build a society that proves it.

Aditya Mukhija

Hi everyone,

I am Aditya and I'm running to be the President of the CSS. No, not cascading style sheets, the Computer Science Society! (Sorry Abdullah, I had to steal that from you)

As this year's Vice President, I was deeply involved in the decision-making for all key changes we made to improve our society. From ramping up social events to hosting a 250+ person Hackathon on campus, My team and I have worked countless hours to make this year better than ever before, and I will continue to dedicate myself to the growth of this society.

In addition to my performance as VP, I was also the President of the Data Science Society, navigating a challenging restructure that helped us double the number of events we ran, improve the overall quality of services we delivered to our members, and streamlin  operation. This allowed us to co-host HackLondon and smaller-scale events such as panel talks and Machine Learning workshops.

Swinging with the momentum of two very successful terms as president and vice president, I hope to apply my learnings and continue to improve the CSS because, honestly, at this point, I've put more effort into this than my degree. . .

Vote me :)

Bobby Ta

Term 3 Elections came and gone? Facing the last chance to elect a President or risk an imminent collapse of this most wonderful society? Never fear, Bobby is here.

'What makes YOU the one?' - I hear you ask. You see my friend, there are 2 types of people in this world: those who turn up to every lecture in a neatly ironed button-up like an a̶b̶s̶o̶l̶u̶t̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶f̶f̶ respectable young (wo)man, and those who don't. I am firmly in the former camp, which makes me totally legit. Obviously. You wouldn't want the face of our society to be all sloppily dressed, would you?

jk (sorta). Now that I've earned your undivided attention, here's what I have to offer aside from my midlife crisis wardrobe:

  • Leadership experience
    • I was in the SPC this year and have a proven track record working with our lovely VP Rhin (who would make quite an excellent little underling if I may say so myself 😊)
  • I am:
    • Dependable and resolute - I never shy away from making tough decisions.
    • Dedicated to the end of the world - just ask my 10y/o fish
    • Well-spoken, communicative, and self-assured - case in point, this manifesto :)
  • Vision

    • I'm committed to building on CSS' existing successes and bringing you even more:
      • Exciting hackathons
      • Career fairs/panels
      • Networking events with alumni
      • Crash courses to dip your toes in different niches
      • Guest talks with cool people
      • Socials with better pizza
      • Collabs with related societies
        • Including the newly-formed Competitive Programming Society!

Vote for Mr Shirt Guy. Pinky promise you won't regret it :)
