Vote for me I want to put it on my cv, but honestly I’m genuinely interested in this position as it seems like fun.
I'm already well-being officer for the newly founded competitive programming society so I'm well positioned to make joint events. I'll also use both societies combined member counts in my eloquent emails to the 1000 tech and finance companies that I'll cold email for sponsorships.
I used to work in sales so I do have relevant experience for this role. Mostly I'd focus on getting good sponsors and collaborations for hacklondon26 and perhaps see with the other comittee members if we can organise other events with local sponsors.
Most people's number 1 priority in css is getting a job/internship due to the job market currently, so I'd try and get a company to offer a fast track/interview to the winners of hacklondon or the other potential events I mentioned, I think it's a pretty good value offer to the companies, as they get a high quality candidate, and it's also basically what everyone in cs wants.

The Computer Science Society is an amazing society that brings together students from various departments and year groups with the goal of fueling our common love for technology and innovation. We have had big sponsors for our hackathons this year, namely Bending Spoons, OpenAI and JetBrains, but I strongly believe we can do even better. The big companies should not just be for IC Hack and I am motivated to bring in big tech and finance companies to sponsor our events. As Head of Sponsorship, I will:
- Proactively reach out to companies and secure their support for our hackathons
- Work with the CS department to get their approval
- Help make our hackathons bigger and more exciting
I am genuinely excited about the incredible opportunities that lie ahead for this society, and I am confident that I am the ideal candidate to drive the growth it is capable of achieving.

I am standing for head of sponsorship because I am passionate about creating real opportunities for CSS by building strong, valuable relationships with industry partners. I believe sponsorship is not just about funding, but about forming partnerships that can provide us with internships, tech talks, mentorship, and lasting career pathways. I understand how valuable company engagement can be. I’ve had conversations with professionals in tech and finance, and I’m excited to be starting a summer internship, which I hope will deepen my understanding of how these industries interact with student communities.
Throughout high school, I worked as a student consultant and event organiser, where I was responsible for reaching out to stakeholders, writing proposals, and managing ongoing communication. I helped build partnerships with small businesses and charities by offering guidance and demonstrating long-term value. I’ve also held leadership positions in various clubs, giving me experience in leadership and coordination.
If elected, I will reach out to companies and ensure that they see the value in working with us, not just for one-off events but for the long term. I will also collaborate closely with other committee members to make sure that sponsorship translates into meaningful benefits for all of us.
I am confident that my experience and determination can help take our society’s sponsorships to the next level.
Thank you for reading this far and thank you for your support!

OK, OK, I'm campaigning for president too. But who said there isn't a skill overlap?
'What makes YOU suitable for Head of Sponsorships, you two-faced double dipper versatile king?' - I hear you ask. You see my friend, there are 2 types of people in this world: those who turn up to every lecture in a neatly ironed button-up like an absolute toff respectable young (wo)man, and those who don't. I am firmly in the former camp, which makes me legit and presentable and trustworthy. You wouldn't want the door-to-door salesman of our society to be all sloppily dressed, would you?
jk (sorta). Now that I've earned your undivided attention, here's what I have to offer aside from my midlife crisis wardrobe:
- Leadership experience
- I was in the SPC this year and have a proven track record working with our lovely VP Rhin (who would make quite an excellent little
underoverling if I may say so myself 😊)

- I am:

- Confident, self-assured and, above all, shameless - case in point, this manifesto :)
