Hi! I’m Melissa, a first-year Politics and Sociology student and I am pleased to be running for Head of Marketing and Outreach. As a current research member, I've seen how valuable this society is – the opportunities, the community, and the impact we can make. If elected, I'm committed to amplifying this further, inspiring greater student involvement.

What I aim to deliver:

  • Clear communication: Sharing event updates and announcements frequently and professionally.
  • Creative visibility: Launching compelling campaigns on social media to strengthen our presence.
  • Collaborative outreach: Partnering with societies on events like policy response workshops and documentary nights to deepen participation.

I bring experience and enthusiasm to this role. As former Head of Design for my Sixth Form’s newspaper, I'm proficient in Canva, Adobe and Photoshop to create on-brand content. I have also developed a series of in-depth political decks for hundreds of A-Level students during the 2024 Prime Ministerial elections– a project that allowed me to combine analytical depth with visual design.

With an eye for aesthetics and digital trends, I understand what captures attention and maintains engagement. My active involvement across multiple societies will allow me to initiate many cross-society collaborations. Opening appealing avenues to amplify BBI’s impact across campus.

Thank you for taking time to read and consider my candidacy. I hope to see you next year as Head of Marketing and Outreach. <3
