African Caribbean Society: Events Officer

Humbly returning for another chance to be a part of your 2025/26 ACS Committee!

I enjoyed the ACS events throughout the year, and my plan is to go bigger and better next year! I have ideas on how to keep events fresh and keep participation in events up for the whole year. From sports days, to club nights,  to potlucks, I plan to bring the Midlands Uni experience to UCL. If I become Events Officer, I will advocate for more collaborative events with London Unis to make each and every event a truly memorable experience.  I will also push for discounted and priority access tickets for ACS events for those who have an ACS membership.

I’m here to make sure every member feels seen, heard, and celebrated. Events next year will showcase multiple cultures within ACS,  branching away from centring on West African cultures.

I have experience in event management and organisation, and have the leadership abilities necessary to be your next ACS Events officer!

Hi everyone, I'm Tife, and I’m running to be your Events Officer!

UCL ACS has been where I’ve found real community—a space to connect with people who look like me, understand me, and celebrate our culture together. What brings us together more than anything is our events. They’re the heartbeat of the society, and I want to help make them even better.

As Events Officer, I’ll bring energy, creativity, and variety to our calendar. From iconic club nights like ACS Scala to new collaborations with London ACS’s, I’ll make sure the vibes never drop. But I also want to offer more than just nightlife:
🎯 Game nights and mini game shows (think Love is Blind ACS)
🎳 Fun socials like arcades, bowling and skating
👯‍♀️ Girls nights (sip & paints, self-care evenings, real convos)
🕹️ Boys nights (FIFA & wings, gym linkups, sports tournaments)

I want to make sure there’s something for everyone, a space where we all feel welcome and excited to show up. Because building friendships and memories with people who get you is one of the most powerful parts of university.
