Hello everyone, I'm Chris, and I'm genuinely excited to introduce myself as a candidate for the position of Communications Officer. Salsa is an exciting and rewarding dance, but my love for it comes from our community. No matter who you are or where you’re from, there’s a home for you in Salsa.
As Student Rep Committee Co-Chair for my previous course and Boys Rowing Captain for 2 years prior, I gained valuable experience in collaborative teamwork. Brining this to the table, I would work closely with the rest of the committee to achieve common goals that directly benefit you, our valued members.
As your Communications Officer, my primary goal would be to enhance the society's visibility and engagement by crafting effective communication strategies to keep you informed about our activities and opportunities. I'll work to create a seamless flow of information, making it easier for you to access and participate in our events. In short: concise, efficient and effective communication that makes it simple for you to see what’s going on.
For example: imagine an automated calendar you can tailor to your interests. Choose what you would like to stay up to date on and get alerts for just that!
Your input is crucial, and I'll actively seek your feedback to ensure our communication initiatives align with your interests and needs.
