Hi everyone! I’m Ann and I would love to be your next welfare officer!
Joining RAX has made me feel so welcome and really helped me develop my sense of belonging at UCL. After my first social run, chatting with so many friendly (new) faces, I just knew I wanted to be part of this big, supportive family.
If elected as your next welfare officer, I hope to build this welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone knows they belong. I know uni can be stressful at times, so I’d love to be a friendly face you can always come to if you want to chat; whether it’s about running, uni, or if you just want to say hi and grab a coffee, I’ll be here :)
I am so grateful for having the experience as House Captain and Wushu Team Captain in my high school, which allowed me to develop my organisation skills and furthered my understanding of the importance of working in a team.
On a more personal note, the position of welfare officer really stood out to me because running really helped me cope with the stress that comes with exam season, and I’d love to share this love with everyone <3
