The Political Risk and Intelligence Society, as one of UCL's newly emerging societies, would provide the committee members with an opportunity to help the society grow and evolve. I would like to contribute to this growth, helping accommodate students from a wide range of backgrounds interested in the interplay between political affairs and intelligence.

I have always been passionate about the intersection of politics, intelligence and global affairs and their interplay and impacts on one another, and I believe that, as a First-year representative, PRIS would help me deepen my understanding of this spheres, whilst improving my communication and marketing skills.

I am standing because I want to help create an environment that stimulates students interested in political risk, as well as work closely with the society's executive team to help organise intellectually stimulating events and activities for students interested in the political risk industry. As a first year politics student, I want to help increase awareness of the PRIS and ensure engagement for all members.

I believe the position of First-year representative are suited for my characteristics and past experiences. As Head Girl at my High School, I learnt effective interpersonal and organisation skills, tackling the challenges of effective time-management. I have always enjoyed leadership roles and wanted to take on a different kind of challenge as First-year representative of a society at UCL.
