As the previous deputy head student of my sixth form, I have adequate experience in amplifying student voice and representing my school. Sharing the opinions, concerns and experiences of my fellow students (both within my school organisation and across schools in Hackney, at termly head student meetings) means that I am able to carry these skills with me as a freshers representative for the pole fitness society. As pole has had such a positive impact on both my physical and mental well-being, I understand the importance of promoting our society and ensuring members are having a positive experience, as well as inspiring new students to join.
In addition to this, my warm and friendly personality will allow me to provide a welcoming experience for new members. As an individual who has 2 years worth of work experience within hospitality and within childcare, I know how to create an open, engaging and fun atmosphere that will allow me to share the joy of pole with new comers!
Finally, my enthusiasm for pole has not gone unnoticed! Eagerly joining from day 1 and showing up to all freshers events, my passion means that I will adapt smoothly into the committee. I aspire to climb the ladder (or pole, dare I say) and find new roles on the committee throughout my time at UCL as i improve. Though I only have just under a year of pole experience - and I am a bit of a slow learner, pole is important to me. I will put in just as much effort and heart into the committee as I do with dance.
