Philosophy Society : Welfare Officer

Hi! I'm Luisa, I'm a third-year philosophy student.

Why am I standing?

I'm an international student and I know how rough it can be to move to another country and meet new people - that's why I'm standing! I want to help students feel welcomed in Philsoc and support them as I was supported in my first year.

Philsoc gave me a sense of community and a chance to meet some of the most important people in my life - I want to help students make the best out of their experience at UCL within Philsoc. I've been part of the society ever since my first year and I'd love to have the opportunity to make an actual contribution to Philsoc and its members.

I'm non-judgemental and I'm very open to dialogue - my aim is to ensure everyone feels comfortable. In fact, my goal as a Welfare Officer would be to raise awareness of issues concerning any kind of inequality and discrimination.
