My motivatation and desire to contribute to Muay Thai society started as I Joined the weekly taster secssion and absolutely love the friendly enviornment. Thus I would like to stand for the External Relations Secretary because I want to increase our exposure to other universities' Muay Thai societies. With my extensive experience in managing society last year in my undergraduate university, I have arrange few colaboration events across different universities, which equip me with skills with communication between different universities.

Lorenzo Aragon

hi im lorenzo :) you can probably tell by my shadow-boxing but im pretty new to muay thai--that said, ive been really enjoying my time here and would love to get more involved!

as a current UCL calisthenics training officer, ive seen how rewarding successful inter-uni collaborations can be and how beneficial to progress a good sponsorship (in our case a calisthenics gym deal) can be and id be keen to help promote similar successes in another UCL sport society.

furthermore, having worked as both the coordinator of service clubs and as the president of the student council during my time in secondary education, i have had to organize school-wide events that required the coordination of multiple groups and ‘stakeholders’ and as such feel i have the necessary experience of serving as a leader and liaison for this position.

thank you for your time and i appreciate your consideration :)

Maya Servio

Since I’ve joined Muay Thai I’ve had fun at training with learning new kicks and combos! Even though, I’ve not been a part of the society for long, I would love to join committee and make it as welcoming as possible for anyone to join :)

George Harwood

I started Muay Thai when I was 6 and trained until I was 16. It formed a big part of my life and unfortunately I stopped during sixth form but now I’m glad to be back, here at UCL. I’ve competed in 3 inter-clubs and also briefly coached for a while but I’m hoping to improve now I’m at university level.

As external relations secretary, I would try my best to reach out and organise sponsorships to develop the society and provide the best experience for all the members. I would also attempt to strengthen connections with other universities’ Muay Thai clubs so that the inter-clubs are the best they can be. I’ve enjoyed all the training so far and I hope that on the committee I could benefit this club.
